- A project is one website or one application. Its staging and preview copies are the same project.
- You may change the code as far as fitting it into your project requires.
- Clients keep the sites you deliver to them, with the effect working, for good.
- You may not resell, share or publish the files, or include them in a theme, template, plugin or anything else you sell or give away.
- Nothing in the files checks, tracks or reports where they run.

UNBLAND SINGLE EFFECT LICENCE
Version 1.0
unbland — https://unbland.dev
This licence covers one effect, bought once. It does not create a subscription,
and it grants no rights to any other unbland product.
IN SHORT
One purchase lets you use this effect in up to three Projects.
A Project is one website or one application.
Its development, staging and preview environments are part of that same
Project — they do not count separately.
Projects you build for clients count, and the client keeps theirs forever.
A fourth Project needs another purchase.
Change the code as much as fitting it into your project requires.
Do not sell, share, republish or redistribute the effect itself.
Nothing in the files checks, phones home or enforces any of this.
The sections below are the actual terms. Where this summary and they differ,
they govern.
1. WHAT WAS PURCHASED
"the Effect" The single visual effect named in the VERSION file in this
package, at the version stated there.
"the Files" Everything delivered in this package: source code, compiled
and bundled builds, shaders, assets, documentation, the demo
page and the Claude skill.
"you" The person or organisation that purchased the Effect.
This licence applies only to the Effect in this package. Other unbland effects
are separate products, licensed separately, and nothing here grants any right to
them.
2. WHAT YOU MAY DO
Each purchase permits use of the Effect in up to THREE Projects.
"Project" means one website or one application.
Everything that serves the same website or application counts as that single
Project — its local development environments, staging, preview and test
deployments, and its production site. These are not counted separately, and
there is no limit on how many of them you run.
You may use the Effect in commercial work.
You may use it in a website or application you build for a client. That counts
as one of your three Projects. You may deliver the finished result to the
client, and the delivered website or application may keep using the Effect
indefinitely — including after your relationship with that client ends, and
including if you later stop using the Effect yourself.
A fourth Project requires another purchase. Purchases stack: two purchases
permit six Projects.
There is no per-site fee within your three Projects, no domain to register and
no requirement to report where the Effect is installed.
2A. HOW THIS LIMIT IS ENFORCED
It is not.
The Files contain no licence key, no activation, no check-in, no telemetry and
no mechanism of any kind that observes or reports where they run. They do
nothing but draw. This is deliberate: code that phones home has no place on
other people's websites.
The three-Project limit is a term of this licence, honoured because you agreed
to it. Exceeding it is a breach of the licence under section 9, not a technical
failure you will be notified about.
3. MODIFYING THE FILES
You may change the Files as far as installing and fitting the Effect requires:
configuring the options, styling the surrounding markup, adapting a wrapper
component to your framework, adjusting the demo page, and editing the code where
your project genuinely needs it — a build system, a content management system or
a linter that demands a different module format, for example.
Two things must stay:
- the copyright and licence notices in the Files
- the terms of this licence, which apply to modified copies exactly as they
apply to the originals
A modified copy is still the Effect. Changing it does not make it yours, and
does not lift the restrictions in section 4.
4. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
At all times you may not:
1. Resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, lend, or otherwise transfer the
Files to anyone else — modified or unmodified, whole or in substantial
part.
2. Include the Files in a theme, template, plugin, component library, starter
kit, boilerplate, or any other product that you sell or give away.
3. Publish the Files to a public code repository, a package registry, a
file-sharing service, a design or code marketplace, or anywhere else they
can be obtained as files for reuse. This covers complete files and
substantial extracts.
Serving the Files from your own site as part of a working installation is
not publishing, and is permitted.
4. Share the Files with anyone outside your organisation, other than as part
of a finished project delivered to a client under section 2.
5. Use the Files to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop a machine learning
model or a generative system.
6. Remove or alter the copyright and licence notices.
On the boundary in section 2: delivering a working website to a client is
permitted and is not a transfer. Giving that client the Files so they can reuse
the Effect on other projects is a transfer, and is not permitted — they need
their own licence.
5. PEOPLE WHO WORK ON YOUR PROJECTS
Employees, contractors and agencies working on your Projects may use the Files
for that work, on your behalf. Their use is part of your Project and does not
consume an additional one. You remain responsible for their compliance with this
licence.
They may not keep or reuse the Files for work that is not yours. A contractor
who wants the Effect for their own projects needs their own purchase.
6. OWNERSHIP
unbland retains all rights, title and interest in the Effect and the Files,
including every modified copy. This licence grants permission to use them. It
does not transfer ownership, and it is not a sale of the intellectual property.
What you build with the Effect is yours. The Effect itself is not.
7. UPDATES AND SUPPORT
This is a one-off purchase of the version in this package. What you are buying
is that version, as delivered. It is complete, it works without anything further
from unbland, and it will keep working.
**unbland is under no obligation to provide updates, new versions, bug fixes,
corrections or support, at any time, whether or not a defect is found.** Nothing
in this licence, on unbland.dev, or in any communication creates such an
obligation unless unbland states otherwise in writing and signed.
There is no subscription, no renewal, no maintenance term and nothing to expire.
Equally, there is nothing you must renew to keep what you have.
In practice unbland does fix defects and does answer questions, and you are
welcome to report a problem — write to unbland at the address on unbland.dev.
Whether a correction is issued, when, and whether it is free, is at unbland's
sole discretion. Versions that add features may be sold separately.
Treat the version in this package as the whole of what you purchased. If a
future fix or version matters to your decision, ask before buying rather than
after.
8. NO WARRANTY
The Files are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or
implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness
for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
The documentation states which platforms and browsers were tested and which were
not. Anything not stated as tested is not warranted.
To the extent permitted by law, unbland's total liability arising from the Files
is limited to the amount you paid for them.
9. TERM
This licence has no expiry date. It continues for as long as you comply with it.
It ends if you breach section 4, and on ending you must stop installing the
Effect in any further Project and delete the Files. Websites and applications
already delivered to clients before that point are not affected, and may keep
running the Effect.
Exceeding three Projects is a breach of section 2. It is corrected by buying the
additional licence, not by taking anything down.
10. SCOPE
This licence governs only the Effect in this package, at the version stated in
VERSION. It replaces no other agreement and creates no rights over any other
unbland product, present or future.

Note: this text is a plain-language statement of the intended terms. It has not
been reviewed by a lawyer, and it may be replaced by a formal licence in a
future release.
